Description
The highly desirable Jaguar XK has a cult following status for all the right reasons. Achingly beautiful from every angle, the long bonnet harks back to a different time, when performance cars were all about the engine! Racing pedigrees adorned the XKs worldwide in racing, rallying, and top-speed runs. The “120” referred to the car’s top speed at the time. While the coupes may have been left a bit behind in values nowadays, they are still a rare sight with only 195 RHD FHCs made.
This model comes from a significant collection, where it has been one of the favourites for driving. It’s on the button and has, competed in the Knysna Hill Climb sprint in recent years, adding testament to its reliability and drivability. The car appears to be original in all aspects and has certainly been well cared for in its 70 years. It is showing small signs of patina, but really, it looks like a time capsule by today’s standards.
