Description
The Mercedes-Benz R107 is a sports car produced by the German manufacturer from 1971 through to 1989, being the second longest single series ever produced by the automaker, after the G-Class. The SL was a 2-seater convertible sports car coming as standard with a soft-top, with an optional winter hard-top.
In 1971, the R107 SL was introduced with a new design language and safety features that spread to the subsequent Mercedes-Benz models. V8 engines were fitted to the SL-Class for the first time upon its introduction with the R107 series, making it far more desirable with a smoother drive and power delivery.
The example we have on offer is presented well with its silver paintwork and silver removable hard-top roof, over blue leather interior. The car is also fitted with the 3-speed automatic gearbox and has an indicated 150429 miles on the clock.
