The Mercedes-Benz 280TE is a variant of the S123 wagon that debuted in the 1979 model year, with production ending in 1985, and having a total of 19,786 examples built.
The 280TE had a 2.8-liter M110 six-cylinder engine with 115 horsepower and a semi-automatic three-speed transmission, with optional four-wheel drive. The 280TE had a variety of luxurious options available, including a full leather interior, power windows, power steering, air conditioning, and a sunroof. It was a very popular car in Europe and the U.S., with more than 350,000 units produced during its production run.
