In December 2021, we held a remarkable auction, presenting the second installment of the iconic Coetzer Collection. Curated by the late Louis Coetzer, this collection celebrated the heritage of Mercedes-Benz and featured rare South African classics and other cherished vehicles. Louis Coetzer’s passion for historic cars was legendary. His collection showcased his commitment to preserving automotive excellence, with a focus on significant South African classics.

Kevin Derrick, Creative Rides CEO, highlighted that this event paid a fitting tribute to Uncle Louis, who held the largest collection of Mercedes-Benz vehicles in South Africa. Alongside these prestigious cars, he also cherished American classics and muscle cars, adding a unique dimension to his collection.

This auction was exceptional as many vehicles had been meticulously restored to excellent running condition. Some of these cars had never been seen by the public, making it a rare opportunity to witness Uncle Louis’ automotive treasures.The event celebrated automotive history and engineering excellence while honoring Uncle Louis’ dedication to preserving the heritage of these vehicles.
