Westfield Sports car Company is a manufacturer based in the UK. They sell kits as well as turnkey models based on the iconic Lotus 7 vehicles. Westfield are still building modern versions of these cars with various motors
The above vehicle was imported as a kit in 2004 by LOCOST SA which built the Locost versions of Lotus 7 cars for road and race. The car was professionally assembled by LOCOST SA. The Seight as the model is known was the flagship model which the Rover V8 engine was standard fitment
It is fitted with a Rover V8 alloy engine with electric water pump and Holley 4bbl carburettor with Offenhauser dual port manifold. It has a Quaife Torque biasing Limited slip diff. AP front brake calipers, Nitron shock absorbers and independent rear suspension. Interior has full complement of VDO instruments, it has a heater and weather equipment, soft top, and side doors. Cobra race type bucket seats. 17-inch wheels and tyres. The exhaust system is tubular branches with piping under the vehicle with rear exit. No side pipes. The vehicle has done very little mileage since it was built. There is only one other V8 Westfield in SA. Whereabouts unknown
