1956 Ford Country Sedan Wagon – “Fred” the Rock ‘n Roll Cruiser
Meet “Fred” – a well-loved, V8-powered classic with real character. Owned for 22 years by Robert Mellor, this wagon carried musicians and gear to countless gigs and was maintained by racing legends Harold Lotter and Koos Swanepoel.
Restored in its original Yellow and White and powered by a 292ci Y-block V8 with manual transmission, it features front disc brakes, hydraulic clutch, power steering, and a Holley twin-choke carb.
Still running strong, but some underlying issues in the paintwork remain, a nod to its decades on the road and stage.
